About me

“Watch carefully the magic that occurs when you give a person just enough comfort to be themselves” -Atticus Poetry

Well, my name is Neg! I was born in California and grew up in North Carolina until my adult years where I made my way back to California. Funny how and where we end up, we never really can see the big picture of why right? Even if we have some sort of baseline of how it is going to go, or more realistically, how we think it should go.

I often found myself through the early half of my adult life weaving in and out of “higher” education and being dedicated to certain life paths. Whether that life path was being a doctor of some sorts, or in management, human resources, the list could go on. It always had to do with helping, healing or leaving somewhere better than I found it. While I am currently still studying psychology and I would guess, I always will be.

I believe that as a person who wants to help others, it's my job to help myself. I believe in traditional therapy and inner work and personally I have  found the work of inner work to be in most alignment with how I believe a human really operates and how they desire to be seen. We can’t be all in the head and forget the body and vice versa. That negates the whole conception of balance, I believe at least.
I always felt and do feel that as a human, I wanted to go deeper, that there are depths that are calling out to be explored and these depths, sure, can be momentarily filled by things but that they never are truly pulled up and onto the surface until we’ve decided to explore their caves.

I have completed a 200 hr and 300 hr yoga teacher training and enjoy learning about the breath, mediation and ways to come back into balance from well, a multitude of places that can throw one out of balance. Learning about creating a container and edges along my physical and energetic body has been the most important lesson that I have come to learn about.

I hope to be able to sit with anyone who is willing to sit with themselves, explore beliefs they’ve held about themselves, whether those beliefs are considered good or bad, anyone who wants to dive deep into the depths of their caves and pull through what their internal human spirit wants to be pulled through.
